Katzi 'Sparklez' Schamens
Considered to be a genuine sparkle spirit, finding herself here, there, + everywhere. Born and raised as a southern gal in North Carolina, steeped deep in the electric field of Brooklyn/NYC for 7 years, and currently calling Berlin her homebase as she taps deeper into her German roots.
Katzi disposes an alacrity for sharing her passion of yoga as she has experienced first hand the ineffable shifts that yoga can create on the totality of one’s being. She has been actively practicing since 2006 and teaching since 2012. She has completed over 1,000 hours of training from various lineages with focus on vinyasa, yin, creative sequencing, ayurveda, Dharma Yoga, advanced asanas, subtle body, meditation techniques, psychic development, yoga nidra, aromatherapy, kids, and Forrest Yoga. She takes the practice seriously yet has a winsome approach when it comes to teaching. Her classes are given with wisdom woven throughout with a light hearted essence that gives space to have fun, especially for approaching the challenging aspects of the course.
Luckily Katzi’s inimitable optimistic perspective towards challenges paid off after miraculously surviving a car accident in Summer 2019 where she broke her C2, rib, and left arm. Despite the amount of hours put towards official trainings, her accident has been the apogee of all degrees. She feels that in all challenging situations that life puts us in is an opportunity to really apply the practice. She fully integrated the lessons in order to heal herself on all levels. Throughout this course of healing, she has found ways to connect with others who are dealing with pain, stress, and overall self enhancement. She has started incorporating sound healing and reiki (master level) into her sessions to create subtle shifts and to elevate the overall transformational experience. Her intent is to inspire all to find their inner sparkle in order to heal, transform, + create a stronger connection to their divine essence within.

Yoga Saved my Life,
After surviving an auto accident with a fractured left arm, right rib, and C2, I was told that if it wasn't for the yoga practice, my spinal column would've snapped in half. Not only did it save my life, but it also facilitated my recovery on a physical, emotional, and mental level. Despite the hardships that come with accidents, the lessons learned prove to be more valuable than 1,000 hours of yoga teacher training.
Here’s to focusing on what’s possible versus what our limitations are. Our strengths can propel us forward while our weaknesses can give space for greater awakenings. It’s easy to let the setbacks bring you down, but hiding from your issues doesn’t make them go away. Confront them, learn from them, and let the unfortunate events be valuable lessons. Each day will present its own struggles. Yet, I feel so strong just by lifting my head off my pillow. Relish in your small victories, step by step you’ll get further along your path
